Kazakh-British Technical University
Kazakh-British Technical University (hereinafter – KBTU) is located in Almaty city, Kazakhstan. KBTU is one of the leading technical universities in Central Asia. In 2021, the university celebrated the 20th anniversary of its establishment as a result of a signed Memorandum of Understanding between two countries – the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom. KBTU offers programs to both Kazakhstani and foreign students in 9 schools, including the School of Energy and Petroleum Industry, School of Geology, School of Information Technology and Engineering, Business School, etc.
For two consecutive years, KBTU has been the organizer of the Almaty Energy Forum, in partnership with the UN, UNECE, and ESCAP. The Forum provides a platform for multilateral dialogue for regional and global energy experts to discuss topical issues and further cooperation in order to promote sustainable energy in Central Asia.
