ALMATY ENERGY FORUM
Building on the recommendations from the 2nd Almaty Energy Forum, United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are convening the 3rd Almaty Energy Forum on 6-8 November 2023 in Almaty at Kazakh British Technical University (KBTU).
Almaty Energy Forum continues to be a platform for inclusive multistakeholder dialogue to facilitate regional cooperation, provide technical capacity support and help countries in Central Asia innovate and modernize their regional infrastructure and build resilient energy systems that are secure, affordable and deliver on net-zero targets.

This year’s Forum will gather policymakers and representatives from the energy industry, finance sector, science and academia, to discuss how to:

Create favorable conditions for water-energy nexus regional projects

Cut and manage methane emissions across the fossil fuel value chains
Scaling financing into low- and zero-carbon solutions
Invest in human capital and foster the next generation of energy experts
